Ich bin ein Geek

I was asked the other day what it meant to be a “geek”. This fellow co-worker of mine began to answer her own question by asking other questions which were, “do you wear silly shirts, awkward around the opposite sex, or just kind of odd?” I waited until she was … Continue reading →

Cookie Fu: Grandmaster’s Return Game Review

I really like this dice game. It is fast, easy to teach, and easy to play. You can sit down with a friend or up to 5 other people and have several battles in less than an hour. Not many games provide speed and entertainment with a high level of customization. Cookie Fu delivers with a solid punch of awesomeness! Continue reading →

Feed the Kitty Game Review

There is absolutely zero decision making to be made and not even anything fun to look at short of some little purple wooden mice. The game publisher’s suggested age range for this game is 4 years old and up. I think the age range is more likely ages 2 to 4. Continue reading →

Up the Water Spout Game Review

Used for evil, they distract from the game, divide attention and frustrate players. Continue reading →

Rattlesnake Game Review

Fun with magnets! Very strong magnets! The kind of magnets that could erase your computer’s hard drive a good 10 feet away. But that’s part of the fun, and the chaos, of the game. Surprisingly, it is the eggs you have to watch out for, not the rattlesnakes. Continue reading →

Space Hulk is a game that is both visually pleasing and very accessible to my six-year old son. If you enjoy miniatures-based combat as well as a sci-fi theme, Space Hulk is the game for you! Continue reading →

Overall, as a person who enjoys puzzles, this game hits the spot. With a few tweaks for young players, it was like both of us working together on a classic picture puzzle, but with additional learning opportunities. Continue reading →
