Code Monkey Game Review

Welcome to the wonderful world of corporate entry-level programming! Expect to be given more work than you can handle, be told how to do your job, and have your fellow programmers attempt to one-up you constantly. It’s not all bad. You have an endless supply of snacks and, best of all, the pretty receptionist that works down the hall might know your name! Just another day at the office, but this time, you are going to leave feeling a winner…maybe. Continue reading

Mermaid Beach Game Review

Mermaid Beach is a fun and fast game with a light level of character interaction and aggression. It’s a lot more fun than Go Fish, Old Maid, or Hearts, and yet has the same game mechanics of all three included resulting in a fun game for everyone to play. It’s perfect for the age group and for families, but the game elitist won’t have much use for it. A pity as I’m sure there are a lot of gamers who would enjoy Mermaid Beach. Continue reading

Joe Name It Game Review

Smarts and wits will be tested as the players are tasked to name a random number of people, places, or things. Sometimes, only one player will be put in the hot seat. Other times, everyone can play. Regardless, all the players must do their best to be the first to win the game as the game is also playing against the players! This makes for a strange mix of cooperative and competitive game play that is going to be a lot of fun at your next family gathering or party! Continue reading

Good Help Game Review

In Good Help, the players take on the role of an evil scientist whose single objective is to build a terrible monster and destroy the town that has ridiculed them in their youth. After setting up their base of operations (which is a big castle on the outskirts of town, of course) they are ready to start! First thing they need to do is hire some Assistants to run errands for them, especially the more unsavory ones. The problem is, good help is hard to find, especially in the business world of evil scientists. Continue reading

Fauna Game Review

Test your wits and your knowledge of animals that fly, run, leap, swim, and burrow by guessing where they live. Don’t know exactly? No worries, because being “close” is still “good enough”. It’s a really, really big world full of amazing creatures and you are about to learn all about them! But this is not just any educational game! You must bid, bluff, outmaneuver, and out guess the other players before they do the same to you! Continue reading

By thinking logically about each piece, deductive reasoning, and elimination, the puzzles can be solved. The more difficult the puzzle, the less information is given, but each piece placed is a step in the right direction. Through trial and error, each puzzle can be solved and the game won! All the animals will behave if they get the right food and are placed next to another friendly animal, but chaos will ensue quickly if they don’t get their way! Making it even more complicated are ants who want to eat the animals food and a raging bull who simply will not get along with anyone. It’s a tough job being an animal keeper and even tougher to keep all the animals happy! Continue reading
