Combo Game Review

Jonathan David Haidt, an American social psychologist and author, said, "The most powerful force ever known on this planet is human cooperation - a force for construction and destruction." Which I agree with. Spot on. As a group, we can create wonders and destroy them. This duality of man's nature to create and destroy is best represented in semi-cooperative card games, where players are forced to straddle these two opposite and equally powerful forces to achieve victory over others through cooperation. To win this game, you must collaborate, but victory only goes to the one who dominates.

Link City Game Review

Herb Caen, a San Francisco humorist and journalist, whose daily column of local goings-on and insider gossip, social and political happenings, and offbeat puns and anecdotes, said, "A city is not gauged by its length and width, but by the broadness of its vision and the height of its dreams." In this game, you and your friends will cooperatively build a city of epic proportions. Each turn, a new player assumes the responsibility of expanding the city's size and grandeur. Just be sure that everyone at the table is on the same page, or your next city project could be a disaster!

Trio Game Review

William Gibson, an American-Canadian speculative fiction writer and essayist widely credited with pioneering the science fiction subgenre known as cyberpunk, said, "Time moves in one direction, memory in another." Make no mistake, in this game, memory is essential but not the cornerstone of the gameplay nor the only element that will determine your victory. Be bold and take risks. Only those who remember and take a chance to challenge their memory will have the opportunity to be the winner in this fast-paced game that is fun for everyone.

Hungry Monkey Game Review

Once upon a time, a hungry monkey lost some of his food. Rather than call it quits and get on with his day, he decided to ask for help by manipulating other animals in the jungle, tricking them into assisting the monkey in finding its missing breakfast. Or so the story goes. In this game, you'll be looking to get rid of your cards as fast as possible, leaving nothing on your plate. Do so, and you win. But victory will not be yours if you still have a card in hand or in front of you. Are you hungry to earn a place in the winner's circle, or will you let someone else steal your tasty success?

Coyote Game Review

Native American culture is rich in history, art, music, and language. One of the creation myths includes the clever Coyote who embodies chaos and order. A trickster spirit who attempts to misguide and outwit, but never with ill intent or evil purpose. In this game, you'll match the guile of the Coyote among your friends and family as you attempt to outwit and out-bluff them all. Careful consideration is a must to ensure that your lies and truths blend seamlessly while simultaneously listening closely for clues to call your opponents' bluff!
