I Never Wanted an iPad Until Now

To me, the iPad is just a big version of my iPhone, only I can’t put it in my pocket. I had no desire to own one and scoffed loudly at anyone who suggested that I should.

After seeing this Battle Map app demo for the iPad, I am now seriously questioning my long standing position on not owning one.

    Ooh…the enticement of it all! LOL Seriously, though, my Mom wants to sell her few-months old iPad to upgrade to the newest one. If you’re interested in a Granny-owned, well-maintained, fabulously-priced iPad, let me know and I’ll hook you up with her. 🙂

      Many thanks! But until I can fit the iPad in my back pocket (which would require the iPad to get very small or my pants to get very large) I’ll happily stick with my ultra portable iPhone.

    You can get that app for the iPhone as well, but it would serve a slightly less useful function as a map than the larger iPad.

    So therein is the conundrum!: how to get a map app at a usable size which is also back-pocket portable. I think until the car-folding technology presented first in The Jetsons is made available to the public at a reasonable price, we may have to settle for physical maps and minis.
